Travis J. Carter - Vita
Social Psychology PhD Candidate
Broadly speaking, my research lives at the intersection of judgment and decision-making, social cognition, and motivations. I examine the mental processes that produce judgments and behavior, and especially those that are influenced by internal motivations or the external environment.
SOCIAL COGNITION
- Automatic operation of higher cognitive functions
- Influence of motivations of implicit processes
SOCIAL JUDGMENT/DECISION MAKING
- Consumer behavior and happiness
- Metacognition
